In some ways this is the simplest of dances, since there are few set moves, it relies entirely on connection between you and your partner, with small intimate moves, this is not a showy dance in any way. Done by a pro, Blues is a true dancers dance, sadly much underrated in the UK, though this is changing as a new Blues scene is swiftly developing.
Dancers most often come to Blues via another style which typically adds 'flavour' to their dance, these are typically Swing (Lindy Hop) or Argentinian Tango and sometimes Ceroc derived Modern Jive styles, though simply doing your familiar dance style more slowly is not really in the spirit of dancing Blues.

This is what wikipedia says about Blues Dancing.
